Elon Musk’s Mother, Maye, Releases Hindi Edition of Her Book in Mumbai

Maye Musk, mother of Elon Musk, celebrated a special milestone in Mumbai by launching the Hindi edition of her memoir A Woman Makes a Plan. The Hindi title, Jab Aurat Sochti Hai, was released in collaboration with Rajkamal Prakashan.

The book launch became even more memorable as it took place on Maye’s 77th birthday. She spent the day with her Indian publishers and close well-wishers.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Maye shared her excitement: “It was wonderful to have my Indian publishers with me for the Hindi release of my book in Mumbai. Even better that it happened on my birthday!”

She also posted photos from the event, proudly holding the Hindi edition. Another picture showed her next to a beautifully decorated birthday cake, topped with flowers and the number “77.”

Adding to the celebrations, Maye received a stunning bouquet of flowers from her son, Elon Musk. She thanked him with a heartfelt message online: “Thank you, Elon, for the beautiful birthday flowers. Sent with love from Mumbai.”

Apart from the book launch, Maye also took time to visit the Siddhivinayak Temple on Easter Sunday. Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez joined her for the visit. Both participated in the temple prayers, and Maye wore a bright yellow traditional outfit for the occasion.

Maye’s memoir, first published in English in 2019, shares her journey through struggles, single motherhood, and building a career in modeling and nutrition. The book gives real-life lessons on staying positive, working hard, and chasing dreams — no matter your age. The Hindi version aims to make her inspiring story accessible to more readers across India.

Jacqueline Fernandez praised the memoir, saying, “Maye Musk’s life story shows us that age is never a barrier when it comes to dreaming big.”

Meanwhile, Elon Musk has confirmed plans to visit India later this year as Tesla prepares for its much-awaited launch in the country.

In this chat, he shares how he began writing, what keeps him going, and why India needs its own way of thinking in business and leadership. Q1. You’ve written over 16 books on topics like personal mastery, strategic marketing, and leadership. What inspired you to start writing in the first place?
CB Rao: I have always been passionate about writing and the sharing of knowledge. With my long years of experience, I knew that India lacked books on management and leadership that are oriented towards Indian perspectives and practices. I have, therefore, taken up book writing as a serious avocation after my retirement in 2015, with the objective of developing concepts and constructs unique to India, but without missing out on global relevance and competitiveness.

Q2. Your book “Personal Mastery” dives deep into self-awareness and self-discipline. What do you think is the most important step toward achieving personal mastery?
CB Rao: I believe that, for any individual, competence, communication, and collaboration are essential to achieve a developed state. However, to achieve a state of actualization, one must, in addition, be capable of introspection, reflection, and reinvention, from time to time.

Q3. In “Strategic Marketing,” you use case studies to illustrate your points. What is the most valuable lesson businesses can learn from these case studies?
CB Rao: The most valuable lesson is that while businesses may seem complex, the drivers of competitiveness are simple but are, unfortunately, often missed. For example, in the case of Tata Nano, a failure to appreciate the ecosystem in which a customer lives has resulted in the Tata Group missing a huge transformative opportunity, despite having a brilliantly engineered product.

Q4. Your latest book, “Viksit Bharat 2047,” talks about India’s future. What do you believe are the key factors that will help India become a developed nation by 2047?
CB Rao: As the sub-title of the book suggests, infrastructure, innovation, and inclusion will be the key drivers for accomplishing the Viksit Bharat Mission. The Central Government has taken up infrastructure building as a top priority, and this drive must continue. The Central and State governments recognise the importance of inclusive development, which must be further deepened and expanded. What is missing is a relentless emphasis and investment in innovation. Innovation would be critical to achieve the Viksit Bharat Mission.

Q5. How do you decide on the topics for your books? Is there a specific process or inspiration behind each one?
CB Rao: Each book is based on a particular thematic subject. In writing the books, I look for gaps in the current literature and seek to provide a holistic experience for the readers in each subject, filling the gaps with works that reflect Indianness. There is a strong internal inspiration within me to be original and creative as well as prolific.

Q6. With over 50 years of experience in strategic and operational leadership, what is the biggest change you’ve seen in the business world over the years?
CB Rao: The biggest change that I have seen is that companies and businesses are now empowered to expand and diversify as well as aspire for global growth. The Union and State governments speak the language of technology and global competitiveness. The biggest transformation, to my mind, has been in the public sector, exploring new horizons of growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Q7. What was your most rewarding experience as the Managing Director/Executive Chairman of Hospira Healthcare India Pvt Limited?
CB Rao: As Hospira India’s MD and EC, I could demonstrate the ‘India Advantage’ to the parent corporation and shift the global corporation’s R&D and Manufacturing centre of gravity to India. From two sites which we acquired in 2010, I could transform the India canvas to nine sites with state-of-the-art facilities and top rung talent. Several million dollars of foreign direct investment flowed into the country. The employee count in India grew 10-fold from 450 to 4,500.

Q8. What advice would you give to young professionals who aspire to become leaders in their fields?
CB Rao: My advice would be to never forget the technical or functional basics. Young professionals must develop a deep understanding of the products and services and the manufacturing/ customer delivery processes. For this, the young professionals must, forever, remain curious, building competencies and enhancing collaboration throughout their career journey,

Q9. As the founder of LeaderCrest Academy, how do you see the role of leadership evolving in the next decade?
CB Rao: Leadership will be cross-functional, cross-cultural, and global. Leaders will turn entrepreneurial in their approach to explore new vistas. In this process, leaders will appreciate the role of technology and competitive strategy.

Q10. What are the top three qualities you believe every leader should possess?
CB Rao: Competence, Authenticity and Integrity.

Q11. You’ve had a diverse career journey. How do you stay motivated and continuously push yourself to grow?
CB Rao: I have always been open to exploring new horizons and developing new competencies. Otherwise, I would not have carried out the conglomerate planning for Hinduja Group; I would also not have transitioned from an established automobile company like Ashok Leyland to a pharmaceutical startup like Orchid Pharma. Wherever I was, I sought to explore new horizons of growth.

Q12. How do you balance your time between writing, teaching, consulting, and serving on boards of companies?
CB Rao: My principal attention is on teaching and writing. These domains are boundary-less and could be all-consuming too. I think and work most of the time in these directions. I am selective about business consultancy and board membership at this stage.

Q13. What role has mentorship played in your life and career, and how important do you think it is for personal growth?
CB Rao: I was a witness to some great leadership in the early years of my career. Later, I also had the opportunity to work with several accomplished Indian, Japanese, and Western technologists, managers, and leaders. No one mentored me, but I probably developed my own path of self-mentorship, observing other accomplished persons and developing insights.

Q14. What would you say is the most significant lesson you’ve learned from your own journey toward personal mastery?
CB Rao: Personal mastery is an alchemy of traits, skills, and attitudes. Competence, creativity, communication, collaboration, resilience, empathy, passion, openness, and integrity, for example, are some key factors that should generate the alchemy.

Q15. How do you deal with setbacks or challenges, both in your personal life and in your professional career?
CB Rao: I was from a small-town middle-class background. As a single child, I grew up observing the life of simplicity, rectitude, and discipline of my parents. I did my schooling in my native language. I had no sponsors. Every two forward steps taken were always followed by a step backwards, as I never understood the organizational dynamics or never cared for it. I persevered by turning out my best regardless of how the system, in which I worked, treated me – fairly or unfairly. That equanimity helped me in my life, personal or professional.

Q16. Looking ahead, are there any new books or projects you’re currently working on that you can share with us?
CB Rao: I am working on two books. One is on the human thinking processes, as my continuing contribution to the self-development of individuals. The second is on strategic collaborations as a guide to corporations seeking to achieve growth and competitiveness.

Q17. What are your thoughts on how technology is shaping the future of business and leadership?
CB Rao: I am an ardent believer in technology as the principal engine of growth. Technology, as manifested by creativity and innovation, and harnessed by management, will shape the future of business and leadership.

Q18. Where do you see India in terms of innovation and development over the next decade?
CB Rao: I need to be prescriptive in response. I see India’s public policy and business enterprise accelerating on the path of innovation and inclusivity for India’s socio-economic development.

Q19. How do you envision the future of education and training, especially for aspiring leaders and professionals?
CB Rao: Education and training must be deeper and broader as well as flexible and adaptive for leaders and professionals to stay ahead of the curve.

Q20. What message would you like to leave for readers who are looking to build their careers and achieve personal growth?
CB Rao: I would exhort each of my readers to be conscious of the broader purpose in life and keep progressing on the path of individual development. This way, the readers will certainly make a difference to their families, organizations, and society. In this journey, they should consider good books as their best friends.

The Science vs. Technology Debate

US President Joe Biden Spotted With Book on Palestine, Author Responds

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Book Sells 814,000 Copies in Just Two Days

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour book has made a huge impact, selling 814,000 copies in just two days. This amazing number puts it as one of the top-selling books in a single week since book sales started being tracked in 2001. The only book to sell more in this period was Barack Obama’s A Promised Land, which sold 816,000 copies. But Swift’s book had a shorter sales time as it went on sale on Black Friday, counting only two days of sales before the tracking week ended on Saturday.

The book is only available at Target, and the store reportedly ordered 2 million copies of the 256-page hardcover, priced at $39.99. It is listed as a product from Taylor Swift Publications and was not published by a traditional publishing house.

Swift is also seeing big sales for the vinyl and CD versions of her album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, which was released at the same time as the book. While we will know the full sales numbers later, early reports suggest the album could sell around 388,000 units in the first week.

Swift’s fans quickly bought up vinyl copies at Target stores, leading to many stores running out of stock. While vinyl was hard to find, the CD and book were available more easily as the weekend went on.

Bestselling Author Barbara Taylor Bradford Dies at 91.

Barbara Taylor Bradford, a bestselling British-American author, passed away at the age of 91. She is best known for her first novel A Woman of Substance, which sold over 30 million copies worldwide and made her a household name.

Taylor Bradford wrote 40 novels in total, selling 91 million books during her career. She passed away peacefully at her home after a short illness, surrounded by family and friends. A private funeral will be held in New York, and she will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Robert Bradford, who passed away in 2019.

Her debut novel, A Woman of Substance, tells the story of Emma Harte, a servant from Yorkshire who works her way up to create a large business empire despite facing many challenges. This book stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for 45 weeks and was turned into a TV miniseries in 1985.

Born in Leeds, England, in 1933, Taylor Bradford began her career as a typist at a local newspaper before moving to London and then the U.S. in 1964. She worked as a journalist and later began writing fiction. Her success as a writer came with her novel A Woman of Substance, which was published in 1979.

In 2007, she was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II for her contributions to literature. Taylor Bradford will always be remembered for her strong character and her dedication to writing.

Netflix Faces Another Lawsuit Over “Don’t Look Up” Plot Claims.

Netflix is being sued again by a self-published author who says that the 2021 film Don’t Look Up, directed by Adam McKay, copied his work. Darren Hunter, an author from Harleysville, Pa., claims that the film took ideas from his book The Million Day Forecast, which he published in 2015.

This new lawsuit follows a similar case filed last year by William Collier, a Louisiana author, who said the movie was based on his book Stanley’s Comet. A judge dismissed Collier’s case last month, saying the similarities were too general to be taken seriously.

Hunter is asking for over $3 billion in damages. His lawyer, Larry Klayman, has accused McKay and the film’s team of dishonesty and greed, calling it a sad example of Hollywood today.

The lawsuit, filed in Orlando, Fla., highlights several similarities between The Million Day Forecast and Don’t Look Up. Both works feature young women trying to warn the world about a coming disaster. The lawsuit also points out that both stories share themes of dark humor, political satire, and the struggle to get people to act before it’s too late.

Hunter says he shared his book with several people in the entertainment industry, some of whom might be linked to the film’s makers. However, he hasn’t named anyone specifically in the suit.

Netflix has not yet commented on the lawsuit.

Hunter’s author page on Amazon says he was inspired to write The Million Day Forecast after meeting someone who claimed to be from the Centaurus A galaxy.

The case is still ongoing, and Klayman is facing disciplinary action in Florida over a past suspension in Washington, D.C.

Robert Kiyosaki Predicts Bitcoin Could Crash to $60K.

Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, has made a bold prediction about Bitcoin. He believes the price of Bitcoin could “drop” to $60,000 in the short term but might go up to $250,000 by 2025.

Kiyosaki shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Bitcoin is stuck below $100k. That means it might drop to $60k. If that happens, I won’t sell. Bitcoin will be on sale. I will buy more.” He mentioned that the price of Bitcoin right now is less important than the chance to buy more when the price goes down.

Bitcoin is now priced around $96,500, just under its highest price ever of $99,655, after bouncing back from a dip to $90,770. As Bitcoin approaches $100,000, people are getting more excited about what might happen next.

Expert Opinions

Edul Patel, CEO and Co-Founder of Mudrex, said Bitcoin’s recent rise is due to more big companies getting involved and better attitudes towards it around the world. He pointed out that countries like China and Morocco have made their cryptocurrency rules easier, which could help Bitcoin grow even more.

Patel also said that while some people might sell their Bitcoin for profit during a price rise, these drops often lead to bigger increases later.

Sathvik Vishwanath, Co-Founder and CEO of Unocoin, agreed with Patel but warned that Bitcoin might fall in price in the short term. He believes Bitcoin could rise above $100,000 and reach $113,000 or $125,000 if things go well. But if it drops below $90,000, people might start selling for profit.

A Positive Outlook

Though there may be some ups and downs in the short term, many people still believe Bitcoin has a bright future. Kiyosaki’s prediction of $250,000 by 2025 shows that he is confident Bitcoin will keep growing in the global economy.

Here is our conversation with Dr. Shadab Ahmed & Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya.

Q1. How will you describe your book ‘A Quatrain of Moods’ in your own words, highlighting those aspects that make it unique?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – As this is my first published book, this book is exclusively special to me. I drafted and composed this book in the form of quatrains, using images/pictures to disclose the story. Each picture in the book conveys a subtle message in itself, keeping the story sporadically abstruse. The interpretation is left open to the readers, different individuals will expound and perceive
the anecdotes in conflicting ways. What makes this book unique is the fact that a majority of moods & emotions divulged in this book are actual life events, which happened with someone somewhere.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – I remember the time when Shad first told me about this book he was working on. At that time, he had created and drafted some 70 quatrains, and he was running out of ideas. As doctors, we have limited social life outside of work, and at large, life is busy. That is where I stepped in to help him. Observing the ambience and environment, I gave him certain images and themes to work on. Shad ingeniously drafted and gave words and narratives to those pictures & images, he generated a story. This book is unique for me because this was when poetry started sensationally exciting me. I delved into it deeper, and it refined my aesthetic sense towards life. Gradually, I started reading a variety of poems, started translating poems from Prakrit, Pali, Devanagari and Sanskrit into English. I will say I found a new hobby and passion. I have never looked back since. Language and Literature are powerful arts of expression. It beautifully tells what the naked eye can’t comprehend.

Q2. How do you think that your book differs from other books on the same subject already on the market?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – Every writer/author has the tribal capacity to be cynical or sanguine, as per the situtation. Writers are people, and people in general are unorthodox, they all carry different perception and insight. I will substantiate it with an example. Let’s say you left your house to go somewhere and came across a cow on the street, roaming aimlessly. Maybe you think that the cow has escaped from somewhere, and its owner will be looking for it. Another gentleman will see the cow and believe that what nuisance an animal loose on the street is creating for the traffic. I will see the cow and contemplate what noble life that animal has, that it can afford to wander aimlessly without worrying about goals and deadlines that we are accustomed to. Apply the same dialectic to readers and how they interpret a book. The emotions, perception and tenor conveyed in the book are the same antediluvian, but how you interpret is what you will believe it is about. There can be intrepid brilliance or a fearful gloom depending on your elucidation.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – I think Shad has brilliantly put it forth, it is all about perception and interpretation. This book is different and richly illustrated with so many beautiful images. The colored pages breath life into the book and the characters. I will advise the readers to certainly give this book a try for some fresh and realist perspective.

Q3. This question is a bit separate, do you like writing freelance articles in your field?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – I write on a variety of topics and do some blogging whenever time permits. I am active on various national and international literary forums and clubs. Poetry is just one of my extra-academic fascination and passion, I am equally proficient and engrossed in World History (encompassing the British Raj & British Empire, Mexican-American War, Apartheid, Byzantine Empire, Neo-Babylonian Empire, Macedonian and Ptolemaic Egypt, Delhi Sultanate, Empire of Brazil under Dom Pedro I, Seljuk Empire of Oghuz Turks, House of Tudor under the Tudors of Penmynydd and Catherine of France), International Relations and Geo-Politics (mainly topics dealing with Realism/Liberalism, Traditionalism/Behaviouralism, Neorealism/Neoliberalism, Rationalism/Reflectivism), Philosophy ( involving Epistemology, Metaphysics and Pragmatism), Occult Studies (engirdling Akashic Records, Christian & Hermetic Kabbalah, and Oneiromancy). When I say am a humble scholar of these subjects, it dosen’t implies that I am a naive fresherman. I have extensive applied and implicit a-priori knowledge on these topics and subjects. Apart from my poetries, I am writing an anthology on “Occult Studies & Magic” as well. Progress is undoubtly slow and sluggish, and quality time is an assorted luxury these days.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – Shad has always been a weird and geek types, but fortunately am more into clinicals. My experience in writing articles corresponds with my Original Researches in Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry. I have more than 25 articles and researches published in major national and international journals, and several others on-going at various stages. Extra-academically, I translate poems from a variety of Indian regional languages into standardised English. I am also drafting a comprehensive Manual on Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics, my specialization post Dentistry. Me and Shad have already authored a book together titled “Lasers in Dental Practice”. We both have worked together on several researches and articles successfully.

Q4. As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – My spirit animal has to be the “tiger”. The tiger is all about strength, fierceness, shrewd calculative perception and the ability to prevail in any condition and circumstance. The tiger inspires you to preserve mastery over your domain and sphere, whether that’s a field of knowledge, a skill, or even mastery over yourself in some way. In becoming a master, you can fulfill your potential on Earth, becoming the person your spirit intends to be in this lifetime.The imperceptible and camouflaged tiger spirit under my skin gives me strength and confidence to dominate bravely in any adversity. It infuses lunatic courage and a maniac determination inside me when things are not in my favor.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – My spirit animal will be a butterfly. Why because a butterfly represents change, transformation, hope, and positivity. Celtic mythology regards butterflies as a symbol of the soul. There’s an old Irish saying that goes “Butterflies are souls of the dead waiting to pass through Purgatory.” They are thought to be able to cross into other realms and also represent transformation, creation, and re-birth. My life has been sort of a re-birth from difficult circumstances, and I am fully embracing it.

Q5. You both are doctors but does your family support your career as a writer?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – I am a Doctor by profession, an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon by specialization. I don’t have much of family left, so thankfully can devote some time to my literary and scholastic pursuits. Work and schedules keeps me busy, and I devote my full energy to work. You gotta rise up to the occasion when the occasion comes calling. Apart from being a Doctor, am an astute and cunning financial planner as well, and have good investments in real estate, market- linked funds and forex. I know the deferential power of compounding.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – It is tough to manage both family and academics, so there comes friction now and then. Thankfully, I am blessed with a sweet “Nani” whom I absolutely adore. So my time is spent with her when I am not working. If you mean blood-relations, then yes I do have a family. But I have always been known to make my own family, people who get bonded to your heart. Blood is thicker than water, but family isn’t just about blood. Family is about faith and loyalty, and who you love. If you don’t have those things, I don’t care what the blood says. You are not family.

Q6. Do you believe in writer’s block?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – Yes, I do believe in writer’s block. Frequently, I seem to be inflicted by the ethereal block as well. I reckon “perfectionism” is what causes the writer’s block. It is not all psychological as some may believe, but often you simply run out of ideas. Your perception is what you see around you. If you have seen all around you, nothing excites you anymore. To break the writer’s block, simply follow your heart over the mind for a day. It never deceives you, it never leads you astray, it never disappoints you.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – Sometimes even I get writer’s block when am doing my researches. Most often, it is simply the lack of trying harder, or something you are afraid to touch at the moment, inconsequential be the cause. Picture an examination scenerio, you have to complete a book. But you keep making excuses within your mind that you will do it tomorrow morning, then later in the afternoon, then finally by the night. I guess the human mind behaves totally irrational sometimes, but who has ever understood the human mind.

Q7. Any messages for your readers?

Dr. Shadab Ahmed – I just want my readers to be happy and content, wherever they are based. I will ask them to live, not just to mere survive. Follow your heart, follow your passions. Be a good and compassionate human being. Live old or live young, but make sure to live free.

Dr. Malwiika Sisodiya – I will urge our readers to surely go through the book. It is a beautiful book with beautiful emotions. Rest, Shad has conveyed well to the audience. Love you all!

Today we had some glimpses of our conversation with the author of Subtle Art of Dealing With People

This is your third book, so while writing this book did you have a ‘writers block’? If yes, how did you overcome it?

It is very common for a writer to face a writer’s block. I also face it often. There are a few ways I overcome the block. When I feel that there are no new ideas coming in or I just don’t know how to move ahead or the writing is not coming out up to my expectations, I just close the file and leave it for a few days. In the meantime, I engage in other creative pursuits such as painting, sketching, crafts, or even cooking. That works well for me to overcome this block and most often I get some ideas. Or sometimes even going for walk, or reading or discussing on the topic I am writing also works wonders.

Your book helps our generation, but why did you choose this genre, why not fiction?

I have never ventured into fiction, although I intend to one day. I love stories and even in the books I write, you will find a lot of stories. My work has always been in the area of self-development. So, I also end up writing in that genre.

You work as well, so what is your writing schedule like while you are working?

For me writing is effortless. I believe that writing just flows through me as if I am a medium. Sometimes I am also amazed when I read the writings I do, which are full of deep insights and in such a flowy style. The best time for my writings is when I wake up in the mornings. I am not an early riser, but the time immediately after I wake up is the most fertile time for me to write; and a cup of my ginger, lemongrass tea enhances the mood.

You have given personal examples of overcoming things. Yet, what was the most difficult part for you to write?

When I write anything I always introspect my own life. I find a lot of examples there. And I believe that ‘one must practice what one preaches’. So, I evaluate each and everything I write in the book. Only if I follow the tips, can I offer it to the readers. In that regard, the difficult chapters were ‘How to deal with Difficult People’ and ‘How to handle Criticism’. These two chapters took the longest time.

How long have you been planning for this book and how did you plan the titles of the chapters?

I have been writing this book for three years. I wanted it to be a self-help book that has hands-on tools and techniques drawn from my personal experiences and stories and that are practical and easy to use by anybody. So, the chapter titles start with “How to..”. For eg., there are chapters like ‘How to connect with people’, ‘How to say No’, How to be master the art of listening’ and so on. Each chapter ends with ‘Key Takeaways’ and ‘Try This’. The uniqueness of this book is the inclusion of the tips to deal with people in the digital age.

Are you planning your next book yet? If yes, what is it about?

Sure. I will keep on writing as that is my passion. I have a few ideas for my future books. Can’t talk about it now, but my next book will be in the space of self-help and motivation only.
